Complexity and globalisation in school (Miranda Pilo)
"We are sound convinced that knowledge and culture cannot be transmitted, only information can be transmitted but a personal work is necessary to transform information in knowledge. Steady learning differs from scholastic learning because knowledge is based upon personal “discovery” and becomes part of him/her"

SEMEP 2008 - guidelines: discover diversities (Miranda Pilo)
"SEMEP is a project aiming to preserve, in the Mediterranean, the natural environment as well as the cultural heritage, both menaced by local conflicts and by problems due to the increases of population, traffics, industries etc.
In the present UN DESD a reflection about policies, actions, social and individual behaviours is needed.
SEMEP can contribute in educating to a critical thinking, to assume responsibilities, to become aware of the impact of the individuals on the natural and cultural environment.
To reach these objectives the young should master sound scientific concepts."
